The Confederation of Canadian Union (CCU) holds regular labour schools every three months throughout the country. Experts in various fields speak on topics that matter to Canadian workers, including health and safety, labour law, social services, gender equity, media and communications, political economy, collective bargaining, and organizing. Their recent labour school was held online in June, 2021.
Derek Blackadder, Canadian co-ordinator for LabourStart was just one of the presenters who spoke about the plight of workers under COVID, and how trade unions and working people are fighting back against exploitation, growing inequality, wage stagnation and threats to working conditions, all of which have become worse since the beginning of the pandemic.ccu,
