PPWC’s Environmental Sustainability Officer, Cam Shiell attends the 2nd Annual BC First Nations Forestry Conference.  This year’s event will bring together BC First Nations to share information related to forestry workforce opportunities and provide a space for communities to share knowledge about forest stewardship and management practices in all regions of British Columbia.

The conference will also provide the opportunity to bring together industry, Government, and Nations to discuss changes to forest policy and legislation, tenure, and workforce partnerships.

“I am excited to take part in the discussions and learn how the PPWC can help make positive changes in Forestry policies to benefit First Nations and other stakeholders in a positive way. This will be an excellent event and great leaning experience. I am honored to be participating in such an important event!” – Cam Shiell
